Treasurer

There are two levels of our virtual Treasurer/Bookkeeping service.

Basic Service

  • We handle the payment of your bills and the basic bookkeeping tasks of tracking all information for you using Quickbooks.
  • You handle all incoming funds, bank deposits, and recordkeeping.
  • Perfect for churches, small business, non-profits or even individuals.
  • Flat rate:  $50/month for a church or business, $25/month for an individual
  • Can be used in conjunction with some premium services

Premium Service

  • We handle additional bookkeeping/accounting tasks as requested including the possibility of tax form preparation, payroll services, accounts receivable/invoicing/billing, financial statement creation, financial statement analysis, and other tasks as arranged.
  • Perfect for small businesses, non-profits and churches.
  • Hourly rate:  $25/hour

How it Works

  • You retain control.  We request an ACH transfer of funds to cover expenses we incur on your behalf on a weekly basis.  You will see a detailed breakdown of what we are requesting payment for and must pre-approve all transfers of funds.  (works in a similar way to an outsourced payroll service)  We do not have direct access to your bank account.
  • We provide you with a copy of Quickbooks for as many users as you need, and store a Quickbooks file in a secure location where you can access it 24/7.  You can view your records and print reports at all times.
  • Bills are mailed directly to us…you don’t even have to handle them.  We record them in Quickbooks, scan copies so you can view the bills remotely, and pay them for you.
  • In premium service, we can invoice your customers and handle payments for you.  Obviously we cannot do that if you are a church as we do not handle any cash. (you would need to count and make your deposit and communicate the amount/breakdown to us for proper recording)

Why do this?

  • We are not CPA (Certified Public Accountants) but are experts in church and non-profit accounting in particular.  We also have clients that are for profit businesses and individuals.  We can provide you with a level of expertise and professionalism that you are probably unable to attain by making an internal hire.
  • We take care of the training and hiring of people so you are never left with a gap in this critical area.
  • Generally people find our service to be cheaper than hiring, training and paying someone a salary and benefits.
